Ansal Township: Ghaziabad Development Authority to clear stalled project
Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) is set to clear the stalled Ansal Township. Spread over 27 acres, the township project was proposed for development near Crossings Republik in 2007-2008 by Ansal Urban Condominiums Pvt Ltd (AUCPL).
Financial constraints, mismanagement, and disputes with creditors led to a lapse in building layout approvals. Back in 2019, the company was declared insolvent, and the project was sent to the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT), which tasked One City Infrastructure Pvt Ltd with completing it.
On July 29, 2026, the Supreme Court criticised GDA and the UP government for delaying approvals required to implement the resolution plan for Ansal Urban Condominiums. After the Supreme Court's decision, the GDA is planning to clear the project.
