Government Select 20 Firms For PLI In Automobile Sector
The unioun government has selected 20 firms including Tata Motors, Suzuki Motor Gujarat, Mahindra & Mahindra, Hyundai, and Kia India Pvt, under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for the automobile industry. in the 4-wheeler segment, Ashok Leyland, Eicher Motors Ltd, PCA Automobiles India, Pinnacle Mobility Solutions made the cut. In the 2-wheeler segment, Bajaj Auto, Hero MotoCorp, Piaggio Vehicles, and TVS Motor among others were selected.Â
Ola Electric Technologies, Axis Clean Mobility, Booma Innovative Transport Solutions, Elest Pvt Ltd, Hop Electric Manufacturing Pvt Ltd, and Powerhaul Vehicle Pvt Ltd. are selected under the new non-automotive investor category. The selected firms would get incentives of up to 18% under the scheme to encourage the industry to make fresh investments in the indigenous supply chain of Advanced Automotive Technology (AAT) products.
