PGCIL Successful Bidders For Solar Energy Zone
Ministry of Power firm, Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL), has emerged as a successful bidder under tariff-based competitive bidding to establish a transmission system. The project envisages a system strengthening transmission scheme for evacuation of power from solar energy zones in Rajasthan (8.1 GW) under Phase-II Part-G on a build, own, operate, and maintain (BOOM) basis.Â
The letter of intent (LoI) has been issued to the PGCIL transmission system and comprises the establishment of a new 765/400 kV GIS substation at Narela (NCT of Delhi) and 765 kV D/C transmission lines in Rajasthan, Haryana, and NCT of Delhi.
