Siliguri Bagdogra Airport: Kalpataru Projects emerges lowest bidder for terminal contract
The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has declared Kalpataru Projects International Ltd. (KPTL) as the lowest bidder (L one bidder) for the civil construction work of a new terminal building at Bagdogra International Airport (IBX) near Siliguri, West Bengal. KPTL placed the bid of Rs 883.80 crore.
As per the tender, the new terminal will be built ~500m south of the existing terminal, will have a footprint of 1,00,000 sq.m (50,000 sq.m in Phase 1), and be capable of handling 3800 peak-hour passengers. It will be equipped with a multi-level car park (MLCP), 10 aerobridges (6 in Phase 1), and its apron will allow 16 narrow-body aircrafts (eg. A320, B737) to be parked together. Work has a completion deadline of 2.5 years.
