USD 100 Million Investment Likely To Be Made By Amazon In Apollo Pharmacy
Global commerce brand Amazon.com Inc is considering a nearly $100 million investment in India's pharmacy chain Apollo Pharmacy. As per the reports from the Economic Times, the investment is an attempt by Amazon to face up with Reliance Industries Ltd and Tata Group in the country's fast-growing drug market. The e-commerce brand is already selling medicines in India. As Reliance bought a majority stake in online pharmacy Netmeds the investment in Apollo can help Amazon to catch up in the competition. Amazon has recently launched an online pharmacy to deliver prescription drugs in the United States.
