Himadri Speciality Chemical plans investment worth Rs 1,300 crore
Kolkata-based chemical firm Himadri Speciality Chemical has plans to make a capital expenditure (capex) of Rs 1,300 crore over the next year. The capex will accelerate investments in lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery materials, carbon-based advanced materials, and other high-value products.
The firm is also planning to set up India’s first commercial carbon nanotube manufacturing plant with an initial investment of Rs 70 crore. This project will be part of the Rs 1,500 crore investment that the firm will make following this announced capex.
Meanwhile, Himadri has completed the acquisition of a 100 per cent stake in Odisha’s Balasore-based Birla Tyres.
