Tata Electronics and BEL sign pact to boost semiconductor industry in India
Government-owned Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) and Tata Electronics have signed a pact to boost semiconductor investment in India. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is signed by the two firms to jointly develop indigenous electronics and semiconductor solutions, aligning with the government's push for self-reliance in critical technologies.
Under the partnership, the firms will explore end-to-end collaboration in areas such as semiconductor fabrication (Fab), Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT), and design services. Through the partnership, BEL is looking to meet its goal for advanced components, including Microcontrollers (MCUs), Systems-on-Chip (SoCs), Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuits (MMICs), and other processors.
