Afcons bags order worth over Rs 1,084 crore from DRDO
Construction engineering company Afcons Infrastructure has bagged an order from the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) worth Rs 1,084.54 crore. The work involves the improvement of maritime facilities in Visakhapatnam, the augmentation of the Material Test Centre (MTC), the creation of a Ship Assembly Facility (SAF), and the provision of workshop equipment for the ship lift facility (AMCSWF).
Work is to be executed in design and build (D&B) mode incorporating a wide range of work including civil, mechanical, and electrical tasks, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, extra-low voltage (ELV) systems, furniture and interiors. The period of completion of the work is 3 years (36 months).
