India's first bamboo-based ethanol plant inaugurated in Assam
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the country’s first bamboo-based ethanol plant in eastern Assam’s Golaghat district. The project is billed as the world’s first green bamboo bioethanol plant. This project would be built at a cost of Rs 5,000 crore.
Further, during his visit to the north-eastern states, the PM laid the foundation stone for a polypropylene plant at the Numaligarh Refinery to be developed for Rs 7,230 crore.
