Joint Venture of Texmaco Rail to invest Rs 1,800 crore for integrated manufacturing platform
Railway wagons maker Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd, in a joint venture (JV) with Dallas-based TrinityRail Global and Paris-based Touax Group, plans to invest Rs 1,800 crore. The plan is to create an integrated platform spanning design, manufacturing, financing, leasing, maintenance, lifecycle engineering and asset management, as per reports from ETInfra.com.
The firm will develop 100 new rakes and expand leasing and design capabilities over the next few years. TrinityRail Global will hold a 32% stake in the JV while Texmaco and Touax will each continue to hold a 34%.
