Home Minister launches world's largest curd production plant in West Bengal
Union Home Minister Amit Shah virtually laid the foundation stone for the world’s largest curd production plant in West Bengal. It is being developed as part of the Rs 700 crore Amul Bengal Dairy Project.
Located at Howrah Food Park in Howrah’s Sankrail, the plant will have a capacity to process up to 30 lakh litres of milk and 10 lakh litres of curd daily. Further, the minister laid the foundation stones of 14 storage warehouses with an estimated cost of Rs 6 crore.
