SJVN invites bid for development of BESS project in Haryana
Government-owned SJVN Limited has issued a Request for Selection (RfS) inviting bids for the development of 265 MW/530 MWh of standalone Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in Haryana.
As per the firm, the project will be developed under Viability Gap Funding (VGF) schemes through tariff-based competitive bidding.
The project is split into 2 parts:
- 15 MW / 30 MWh under the State Component of the VGF Scheme
- 250 MW / 500 MWh under the VGF Scheme supported through the Power System Development Fund (PSDF)
The project will be set up near the 220 kV substation of Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited (HPGCL) at Panipat. The selected bidder will sign a Battery Energy Storage Purchase Agreement (BESPA) with SJVN for a period of 12 years.
Last date for bid submission is 21st August, 2026
