Madhya Pradesh government plans expressway to connect Indore with Bhopal
The government of Madhya Pradesh is planning to develop a six-lane greenfield expressway connecting Indore and Bhopal. This proposed project is expected to require an investment of Rs 4,000 crore and is among the state government’s priority infrastructure projects as it gears up to host the Simhastha in 2028.
It is expected to reduce travel time between the two cities by 2.5 hours. According to ET, it will be an entirely new road and will not be an extension, widening, or upgrade of the existing Bhopal-Indore road.
