BHAVYA Scheme: Government receives 87 proposals, targets 100 industrial parks
The Union government has received 87 proposals under phase 1 of its Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojana (BHAVYA) Scheme. This scheme, worth Rs 33,660 crore, was announced in March 2026 and aims to develop 100 world-class, plug-and-play industrial parks across India over the next 6 years.
Of the 87 proposals received, Maharashtra leads with 14, followed by Madhya Pradesh with 11. Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu submitted seven proposals each, with Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat contributing six proposals each. A total of 50 projects will be developed in Phase-1.
20 proposals are expected to be selected in the first round.
