Maharashtra government proposes new metro line from Thane to Diva
The government of Maharashtra has proposed a new metro line linking Thane, Kalwa, Mumbra, and Diva. Maha Metro will conduct a feasibility study and prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the project over the next 6 months. There is also a plan to connect this new line with the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail corridor (aka bullet train project) and Metro Line 12.
It will connect Thane – Diva – Dombivli – Taloja – Kalyan – Bhiwandi and will meet with the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor at Mhatardi in Diva.
