Ganga Expressway: Uttarakhand government approves Meerut to Haridwar extension
The government of Uttarakhand has approved a proposal to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Uttar Pradesh government for extending the Ganga Expressway. This proposal aims to extend the expressway from Meerut to Haridwar, providing Uttarakhand direct connectivity to the country’s expressway network.
The extension is expected to be 110-140 km long and will enhance access for pilgrims visiting Haridwar. The 594-kilometre-long, six-lane Ganga Expressway, which is under construction, will be an access-controlled greenfield high-corridor running from Meerut to Prayagraj.
