Odisha signs agreement for infrastructure projects worth Rs 20,000 crore
The state government of Odisha has signed an agreement with the private-sector arm of the World Bank Group, International Finance Corporation (IFC). This agreement is for the development of a pipeline of 20 infrastructure projects with a cumulative investment potential of around Rs 20,000 crore.
Odisha has become the first state to sign a Transaction Advisory Services Agreement (TASA) with IFC, and the engagement is expected to serve as a model for leveraging international expertise and private capital to develop large-scale infrastructure projects through the PPP route.
