Andhra Pradesh government approves second phase of land acquisition for 3 ports project
The state government of Andhra Pradesh has given its nod to the Phase-II land acquisition of 6,248 acres for the 3 ports project that are to be developed in the state. As per the updates, the government has approved Rs 1,638 crore for phase 2 of land acquisition for the development of three ports in the state -- Mulapeta, Machilipatnam, and Ramayapatnam.
As per the Chief Secretary, expenditure for land acquisition shall be met from the internal resources of the Andhra Pradesh Maritime Board (APMB). 1,903 acres will be acquired for Mulapeta Port for Rs 440 crore, 1,421 acres will be acquired for Machilipatnam Port at a cost of Rs 347 crore, and 2,924 acres for Ramayapatnam Port at Rs 851 crore.
