Tata Electronics looking to set up chip fab production facility in Dholera
Tata Group's electronics arm, Tata Electronics, is to build the country’s first large-scale chip fab or production plant. The Tata Group is looking to make India’s first semiconductor wafers on far older technology.
This new production facility will be mostly based on 90-nanometer process technology and will be located at Dholera. Tata Electronics has partnered with Taiwan-based Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing Corp. for its chipmaking debut.
