Government approves Rs 1,000 crore for rural roads devlopment in West Bengal
The Union government has approved Rs 1,000 crore for rural road projects in West Bengal. Around 2,400 km of rural roads would be laid through different projects with the approved amount.
Further, the construction of 1 lakh houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana in the state was also approved. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan informed that infrastructure works worth Rs 82,492 crore were undertaken in West Bengal, which couldn't be completed due to the previous government.
