Amrit Bharat Station Scheme: Redeveloped Godhra station set to be inaugurated by PM
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate the redeveloped Godhra railway station today. The station has been redeveloped under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme with an investment of Rs 7 crore.
The station now features a 1,000 sqm façade, a 700 sqm concourse hall, a new entrance porch, and a dedicated ladies’ waiting room. Among other things, platforms 1, 2/3, and 4/5 have been upgraded with nearly 6,000 sqm of new surfacing, modern drinking water facilities, improved toilets, tactile tiles for visually impaired passengers, digital passenger information systems, and new signage.
A second entrance featuring a 650 sqm station building and a 1,500 sqm circulating area has also been developed.
