Vadhvan Port: Adani Ports, DP World, NMDC eye contract worth over Rs 22,323 crore
DP World Ltd, NMDC Dredging & Marine, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd, and Vishwa Samudra Holdings Pvt Ltd (Special Purpose Vehicle) are among the bidders for India’s first dredging, reclamation and offshore protection bund construction project at Vadhvan Port, estimated at Rs 22,323.47 crore.
The project will be implemented under the Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM) and comprises three components:

Near-shore reclamation and associated infrastructure — As Vadhvan will be developed as an offshore port, the package includes a landing jetty and associated facilities to support port-related activities.

10.14-km-long breakwater — The project includes the longest breakwater planned for an Indian port.

Dredging, reclamation and offshore protection bund construction — The largest package of the project, covering 1,207 hectares of reclaimed land to be developed in two phases.
The first two components have already been awarded. Cemindia Projects Ltd has secured the near-shore reclamation and associated infrastructure package worth Rs 1,648 crore, while Afcons Infrastructure Ltd has been awarded the 10.14-km breakwater package worth Rs 5,301.25 crore.
