Daimler India to invest Rs 4,000 crore in BharatBenz
The wholly owned subsidiary of Daimler Truck AG, Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV), plans to make an additional investment of Rs 4,000 crore in Tamil Nadu to strengthen its BharatBenz product portfolio.
The investment is part of a non-binding facilitation Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with the Government of Tamil Nadu. The investment will support product development, manufacturing, R&D, infrastructure, and future technology readiness. This fresh investment commitment will bring DICV’s cumulative investment in India to more than Rs 14,500 crore.
