GE Vernova bags order for pumped storage units
Electric power distribution firm GE Vernova has bagged an order from Megha Engineering & Infrastructures Limited (MEIL). The order is for the supply of 9 pumped-storage units of 150 megawatts each for MEIL's upcoming 1.35-GW Upper Sileru hydropower plant in Andhra Pradesh.
This project is expected to be completed by 2030 and will be among the largest pumped storage hydropower projects in India.
