Gopalpur Industrial Park: Project attracts investment proposals worth over Rs 65,000 crore
The proposed Gopalpur Industrial Park in Odisha's Ganjam has attracted projects and investment proposals worth over Rs 65,400 crore. Spread over 2,970 acres, the project has seen interest from firms in green hydrogen, renewable energy equipment, speciality chemicals, tyres, mineral processing, and food processing.
One of the largest projects so far is the proposed green ammonia project. According to updates from Swarajya, the project has Special Economic Zone and Domestic Tariff Area facilities, supported by roads, power, water supply, drainage, and multi-modal connectivity.
Government of Odisha, Japan-based IHI Corporation, ACME Group, and Tata Steel Special Economic Zone Ltd (TSSEZL) have signed a memorandum of cooperation for a 0.4 million tonnes per annum green ammonia plant and a jetty-less floating terminal at the park.
