Texmaco Rail bags order worth over Rs 1280 crore
Kolkata-based railway wagons, coaches, and locomotives maker Texmaco Rail has bagged a new order worth around Rs 1,280.69 crore ($135 million). The order is for diesel-electric locomotive exports to South Africa-based Tsiko Africa Logistics and Barberry Holdings.
The work involves the design, manufacture, supply, and commissioning of diesel-electric locomotives. According to the firm, it will supply Wabtec ES43ACi locomotives with 4,500 horsepower (HP) diesel-electric power. This order will be executed within 20 to 24 months of signing the definitive agreement.
