TAFE plans to develop new tractor plant in North India
Chennai-based tractor manufacturer Tractors and Farm Equipment Ltd (TAFE) plans to develop a greenfield tractor manufacturing plant in North India, although the city and state have not yet been specified. The company will invest Rs 1,250 crore to develop the facility, which is expected to add 60,000 tractors to TAFE’s production capacity within 18 months.
TAFE currently operates four plants, including two in Tamil Nadu and one each in Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh.
