Khurja-Jewar road to get a facelift with an investment of Rs 41 crore
The Khurja-Jewar road, a key link connecting Jewar with Khurja, Sikandrabad, Hapur, Aligarh, and other parts of western Uttar Pradesh, is set for a facelift. According to the latest updates, the 34-km-long road is undergoing a widening and redevelopment project to handle surging traffic. The estimated cost of the work is around Rs 41 crore.
The road stretch is being expanded from 7 meters to 10 meters as part of the work. This road, also called Major District Road (MDR-70), passes through villages including Sadullapur, Modalpur, Neemka Shahjahanpur, Jahangirpur, and Bankapur before reaching Khurja, where it connects with NH-34, which leads to Sikandrabad in Bulandshahr on one side and Aligarh and Hathras on the other.
