Ganga riverfront corridor: Bihar government plans project worth Rs 70,000 crore
The state government of Bihar is planning to extend the existing JP Ganga Path into a massive 126-km riverfront corridor that reaches Koilwar on the Sone River. This 21-km stretch of the JP Ganga Path is popularly called the city's Marine Drive.
According to ET updates, the project is estimated to cost Rs 70,000 crore, with the state government planning to fund Rs 20,000 crore directly from its budget, while the remaining Rs 50,000 crore is slated to be raised through private-sector investments.
