Union Minister Jitendra Singh lays foundation of projects worth over Rs 1,503 crore in Jammu and Kashmir
Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology, Jitendra Singh, laid the foundation of road projects under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana-IV (PMGSY-IV). According to ET, the foundation stone of 110 road projects was laid across Udhampur-Kathua-Doda-Kishtwar, sanctioned for Rs 1,503.53 crore under PMGSY-IV, Batch-I of 2026-27.
These projects span 598.455 km, whereby Kathua accounts for 24 projects covering 128.925 km at a cost of about Rs 307.12 crore, while Udhampur has 44 projects covering 235.040 km at about Rs 554.90 crore. Ramban has 13 projects covering 60.360 km for Rs 154.97 crore, and Doda has 13 projects covering 90.180 km for Rs 260.66 crore, while Kishtwar has 16 projects covering 83.950 km for Rs 224.88 crore.
