BHEL and BARC join hand to produce hydrogen energy
Engineering and manufacturing PSU BHEL (Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited) has joined hands with Bhabha Atomic Research Centre ( BARC ), for a 50 kW alkaline electrolyzer system to produce hydrogen. The two have entered into a Technology Transfer Agreement (TTA). This technology for hydrogen production is developed indigenously by BHEL and has high local material content.
BHEL through this collaboration with BARC intends to scale up Indigenous Alkaline Electrolyser Technology and commercialize it for application in sectors such as refineries, fertilizer, steel, transportation, etc.
