Government of Keralam leases land to Cochin Shipyard for ship building project
The state government of Keralam has decided to lease 18.16 acres of land to Cochin Shipyard in Kochi for a ship block building project. According to the state chief minister, V D Satheesan, the project is expected to require an investment of Rs 5,000 crore.
For this land lease, the state government will receive an annual lease amount of Rs 1.45 crore. This project is expected to give a boost to the state's shipbuilding sector and attract further investment.
