Patna muncipality signs agreement worth over Rs 514 crore for solid waste management project
The Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) has signed a tripartite agreement with the Urban Development and Housing Department (UDHD) and the Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation (BUIDCo).
This agreement is for the development of an integrated solid waste management project in the city with an investment of Rs 514.59 crore. The project will have a 15-MW waste-to-energy plant, a 100-tonne-per-day biomethanation unit, three material recovery facility (MRF)-cum-refuse-derived fuel (RDF) centres of 250 TPD each, an additional 50-TPD MRF, a 700-TPD composting plant and a 325-TPD engineered sanitary landfill, according to updates from ET.
The period of completion of the project is estimated to be around 2.5 years.
