Railways approves rail flyover project worth Rs 135 crore on Rourkela-Bondamunda section
The Union Ministry of Railways has given its approval for the construction of a flyover bridge in the South Eastern Railway zone. The project, worth Rs 135 crore, involves the construction of a 4.59-km rail flyover between Bondamunda 'A' Cabin and Bondamunda Link 'B' Cabin to decongest the Rourkela-Bondamunda section.
The new flyover will segregate freight and passenger train operations, reducing congestion. As per the Railways, the project is aimed at improving freight movement on the industrial corridor.
