Amrit Bharat Station Scheme: Nalgonda station gets Rs 17 crore for redevelopment
The Indian Railways (IR) has allocated Rs 17 crore under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme for the redevelopment of Nalgonda station in Telangana. As per updates, the works the interior renovation of the concourse, VIP lounge, waiting halls, and toilets.
The scope of work includes the installation of Divyangjan-friendly facilities, new signage, modern furniture, and façade improvements to enhance passenger convenience and improve the station’s aesthetics. Nalgonda station is a key transit hub for commuters travelling to Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Kacheguda, and Lingampally.
