Thiruvananthapuram metro project: DMRC submits DPR to Kochi metro
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has submitted the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the Thiruvananthapuram Metro project. As per DMRC, the report is submitted to the Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL), which is the implementing agency for the Thiruvananthapuram metro project.
KMRL will review and forward the report to Keralam state government for approval. As per DPR, Phase 1 of the project will be a 31 km long corridor with 27 stations running between Pappanamcode and Enchakkal via Pattom, Government Medical College, Kazhakkoottam, Akkulam, and Thiruvananthapuram International Airport. A maintenance depot will be developed at Kazhakkoottam.
