Welspun Renewable and Tata Motors join hands for development of wind-solar hybrid projects
Tata Group's commercial vehicle-making arm, Tata Motors, has joined hands with Welspun Renewable Energy Private Limited (WREPL) to co-develop an 86 MW wind-solar hybrid renewable energy project.
As per the partnership, the projects will be developed in Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Karnataka to supply power to Tata Motors’ manufacturing plants. This project is undertaken through a co-investment and a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) to supply power.
