Telangana Government launches housing scheme to provide 1 lakh houses for poor
The Telangana Government has launched a new housing scheme for the poor in Hyderabad. This Indiramma housing scheme aims to develop one lakh houses in Hyderabad's Core Urban Region (CURE).
The state government has sanctioned 500 houses each in 16 of the 24 Assembly constituencies in CURE in the first phase. Under the scheme, multi-storey buildings will be constructed, with each flat having a built-up area of 525 sq ft. Each house is estimated to cost Rs 11 lakh, and the government would provide a subsidy of Rs 5 lakh. Beneficiaries will have to pay Rs 6 lakh in four installments.
