AESL bags order for inter-state transmission project worth Rs 8, 500 crore
Adani Group firm, Adani Energy Solutions (AESL), has bagged a new order worth Rs 8,500 crore. The order is for an inter-state transmission project in Andhra Pradesh to supply power to upcoming green hydrogen and green ammonia projects in the Visakhapatnam region.
The work involves the development of a substation at Pendurthi, Vizag, and a substation at Khammam-II, and will be executed through a special purpose vehicle. As per ET, the project will be designed to meet an estimated 4,500 MW of demand from green hydrogen and green ammonia facilities while also supporting rising electricity requirements from data centres and digital infrastructure in the Pendurthi–Vizag region.
