Government approves railway projects worth Rs 9, 450 crore
Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has cleared railway projects worth Rs 9,450 crore. The work involves multi-tracking projects crore across West Bengal, Odisha, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.
The approved projects include:
- 173-km fourth line between Kharagpur and Bhadrak
- 75-km fourth line between Bhadrak and Haridaspur
- 90-km third and fourth lines between Gummidipundi and Gudur
- 72-km third and fourth lines between Cuttack and Paradeep
These projects are planned for completion by 2030-31 under the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan.
