Tata Power to set up greenfield ignot facility in Nellore
Tata Group's power arm, Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL), has plans to develop a greenfield 10 GW ingot and wafer manufacturing facility at Nellore. The project would take an investment of Rs 6,675 crore and would be the largest ingot and wafer manufacturing facility in the country.
The Andhra Pradesh State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) has cleared the project to be developed at the IFFCO Kisan Special Economic Zone. The state government has allocated 200 acres for the project, including 120 acres for the initial phase and 80 acres for future expansion.
