Delhi Metro: Phase 5A gets government approval, investment worth over Rs 12,000 crores on cards
The Union Cabinet has given its approval to the Delhi Metro's expansion. Phase 5A, spanning 16 km, would have three corridors and is expected to cost Rs 12,015 crores. The corridors would be:
- R K Ashram Marg to Indraprastha spanning 9.913 km
- Aerocity to Indira Gandhi International Airport’s Terminal 1, spanning 2.263 km
- Tughlakabad to Kalindi Kunj spanning 3.9 km
It will cover 13 stations, of which 10 will be underground and three elevated.
