Government clears projects worth Rs 427 crore in Buxar
The Union government has cleared 9 projects worth Rs 427 crore in Buxar, Bihar. These projects are cleared under the Centre’s Urban Challenge Scheme to transform the town’s tourism, transport, and civic infrastructure.
Approved projects include:
Floating restaurant, boating facilities, and tourism infrastructure along the Ganga, with an estimated cost of Rs 22 crore
Multipurpose commercial complex with an estimated cost of Rs 58 crore
A multi-level smart parking facility with an estimated cost of Rs 28 crore
A multimodal transport hub with an estimated cost of Rs 24 crore
A modern multi-level bus terminal with an estimated cost of Rs 65 crore
A hotel-cum-commercial complex with an estimated cost of Rs 40 crore
A multi-storey shopping complex with parking, with an estimated cost of Rs 42 crore
An eco-park and vending zone with an estimated cost of Rs 28 crore
Integrated Command and Control Centre with an estimated cost of Rs 120 crore
The projects will get support from the Urban Challenge Fund worth Rs 1 lakh crore announced in the Union Budget 2025-26 to support innovative urban infrastructure projects.
