Texmaco bags orders worth Rs 5,300 crore from South Africa
Kolkata-based wagon maker Texmaco Rail and Engineering Ltd has bagged orders worth Rs 5,300 crore from South Africa. The firm will manufacture locomotive and freight rolling stock parts in Bengal and will ship them to South Africa.
Earlier, the firm announced plans to set up a plant in South Africa after receiving a Rs 4,100-crore contract in July, with an investment of around Rs 300 crore in phase 1. The work on the project is in full swing, as per the update.
